About Me

My name is Henry Chamberlain and I am an amateur radio operator in South Africa. My callsign is ZS1AAZ. I live in a Northern suburb of Cape Town, grid locator JF96IC. E-mail: ZS1AAZ at icloud

I have been retired since 1993 but I have been active since then in technology training of school teachers and learners and designing small electronic experiments for use at school level.

I became a radio amateur about 1954 but let my licence lapse when I got married in 1958. I reinstated it in 1983. I joined the South African Radio League in 1984 and have been a member since then. I served as secretary of the SARL for eight years and was awarded Honorary Life membership in 2009.

I am a member of the Boland Amateur Radio Club since 1984 and am also an honorary life member.

I am more of an experimenter than an operator and like to share the results of my experiments with other experimenters and will publish them here.

I hope you will be able to use some of my work and have as much fun as I had most of my life.
